Finished in second at the OSU Open… earned 18 wins for the Buckeyes at the Elite Invitational Duals… won three of his eight bouts at the St. John’s Invitational… won nine bouts and finished undefeated in two rounds at Northwestern Duals…

Sophomore Season (2016-2017)
Fenced at the Elite Invitational Duals and St. John’s Invitational… won 16 of 20 bouts at Northwestern Duals… tied for third in individual competition at MFC Championships… won a total of 41 bouts for the epee unit.

Freshman Season (2015-2016)
Competed at all competitions for the Buckeyes … Earned a 17-3 bout-record at OSU Duals … claimed second place at the OSU Open … finished in 14th place at the Garret Penn State Open … claimed sixth place in individual competition at Midwest Fencing Conference Championships … helped the men’s epee unit to a first place finish in team competition at MFC Championships … led the men’s epee unit in wins with 40 … earned an eighth place finish at NCAA Midwest Regional … OSU Scholar Athlete.

Prior to Ohio State
Competed with Windy City Fencing from 2007 to 2015 … was named captain of the team … earned a silver medal in team competition at Junior Olympics in 2014 and 2015 … placed 18th in the January NAC of 2015 … made the top 8 in the November NAC of 2014.

Son of Rob and Andi Shindler … majoring in criminology … two siblings, Isabella and Sage … plans to go to law school and take over his dad’s law firm after college … enjoys playing football and basketball.
