FRESHMAN SEASON (2018) Member of the 1V8 boat that finished 9-4 overall on the season… earning two victories over Clemson and Virginia to secure a Big Ten Co-Boat of the Week honor… helped the boat to a first-place finish at the 2018 Big Ten Championship with a time of 6:20.948…finished third with a time of 6:27.746 in the A/B Semifinal at the 2018 NCAA Championships to earn a spot in the Grand Final where the boat finished 6th with a time 6:28.527.

Prior to Ohio State: Started rowing with Holstebro Roklub in 2012… rowed with the U19 Danish National Team from 2014-16 and with the U23 team from 2017-18… placed second at the 2016 U19 World Championships… finished 6th at the 2017 U23 World Championships.  

Personal: Daughter of Anna Grete Birkjær and Gorm Vang Petersen… has three siblings, Aske, Thea and Kari… majoring in biochemistry… hobbies include knitting and playing squash… plans for after graduation include completing a master’s degree in either London or Copenhagen and trying out for the Danish National Senior Team… greatest sports thrill was earning second at the 2016 World Rowing Junior Championships.
