COLUMBUS, Ohio – Izzy Rodriguez, a junior on the Ohio State women’s soccer team, has been named Third Team Scholar All-North/Central Region, United Soccer Coaches announced Monday. A two-time Academic All-Big Ten pick and OSU Scholar-Athlete, Rodriguez boasts a 3.78 grade-point average in finance.
A co-captain in 2019, Rodriguez picked up her third All-Big Ten selection in as many seasons last month, garnering Third Team All-Big Ten laurels after earning First Team All-Big Ten honors as a sophomore and Third Team All-Big Ten laurels as a freshman. After appearing in every match her first two seasons, Rodriguez started 17 matches as a junior, playing the third-most minutes on the team as a left back. The Canton, Mich., native tied for second on the team with two assists and added a goal.
