COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore Jordan Redd ran a first-place time of 15:37.9 as the Ohio State men’s cross country team opened the 2013 season with a team victory at the Dayton Flyer 5k Challenge Saturday afternoon in Kettering, Ohio.
Ohio State totaled a team score of 30 to defeat runner-up IUPUI by 12 points. The Buckeyes placed four runners in the Top 10: Redd, redshirt sophomore Brian Hannaford (15:43.5), sophomore Nick Pupino (15:44.6) and redshirt sophomore Jeff Hannaford (15:59.6).
The Buckeyes return to action in two weeks at the Big Ten Preview in West Lafayette, Ind.
