MLL UPDATE – ALL-STAR WEEKEND
Major League Lacrosse held its annual All-Star Game in Annapolis, Md. on Saturday and second-year pro Ben Randall had a big game for Team Fire, picking up six ground balls and causing a turnover. He currently leads the New York Lizards – and is second in the league – with 12 caused turnovers.

Thanks to the play of Randall – along with that of rookie Matt Borges – the Lizards have won two straight games and play Chesapeake twice this weekend: first on Saturday, Aug. 3 and again on Sunday, Aug. 4.

PLL UPDATE – WEEK SEVEN
The Premier Lacrosse League returned from its All-Star break and hosted a full slate of games in Denver last weekend. Dominique Alexander and Archers LC picked up a much-needed 9-7 victory over Chrome LC. Alexander had a ground ball in the win, bringing his season total to 10. He’s also added five caused turnovers.

Meanwhile, Kevin Buchanan had one of his best games this season, netting two goals for Chaos LC in a 13-12 victory over Whipsnakes LC. Both of his goals came in the first half. Buchanan has five goals and an assist in seven games for Chaos LC, which owns the league’s best record at 5-2.
