Buckeyes in the NBA

Mike Conley (6’1”-PG-87, graduated ’07, plays in the NBA)  Conley scored 15 points and added 7 assists in 28 minutes Vs. Oklahoma City. But his team were crushed by 22 points 117-95 in the NBA. Conley has very impressive stats this year 20.1ppg, 3.5rpg, 6.4apg and 1.4spg in 55 games.

D’Angelo Russell (6’5”-SG-96, graduated ’15, plays pro in the NBA)  led Brooklyn Nets to a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers (12-46) 148-139 in the NBA in Wednesday night’s game. He was MVP of the game. Russell scored 36 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 43 minutes. The Brooklyn Nets have 30-29 record this season. Russell averages 20.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 6.6apg and 1.1spg in 57 games he played so far. He’ll suit up for the NBA All-Star Game Sunday night!

Evan Turner (6’7”-G/F) Portland Trail Blazers  –  He has posted 7.5 ppg, 4.6 rpg and 4.0 apg this season.

Kostas Koufos (7’0”-C) Sacramento Kings – Is in his 10th season in the NBA and is averaging just short of five rebounds a game.

Keita Bates-Diop (6’7”-F) plays for Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA

Aaron Craft (6’2”-PG-91, graduated ’14, plays pro in Italy)  was the main contributor in a Dolomiti En. TR‘s surprising victory against the second-ranked Umana Venezia (13-6) 81-77 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night’s game. Craft was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 12 rebounds. Craft also added 4 assists. Dolomiti Energia Trento (9-10) is placed 11th in the Serie A. Craft has relatively good stats this season 11.5ppg, 4.6rpg, 5.1apg and 1.9spg.

Shannon Scott (6’3”-PG-92) plays for Long Island Nets of the NBA G League

Othello Hunter (6’8”-C-86, graduated ’08, plays pro in Russia) managed to help CSKA Moscow in a victory against the closely-ranked Real Madrid 82-78 in the Euroleague in Friday night’s game. Hunter recorded only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 13 minutes. This year Hunter averages 8.1ppg and 4.5rpg in 22 games. He is a naturalized Liberian.

DeShaun Thomas (6’7”-PF-91, graduated ’13, currently in Greece)  plays in Greece could not help Panathinaikos (9-13) in their last game. Despite his good performance Panathinaikos was badly defeated 85-66 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#3) Fenerbahce. Thomas was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. It’s Thomas’ first season with the team. This year Thomas averages 8.8ppg and 3.6rpg in 22 games.

Jon Diebler (6’6”-G/F-88) plays for Darussafaka in Turkish BSL contributed to Darussafaka‘s victory against the closely-ranked Turk Telekom 94-87 in the Turkish BSL last Monday. He scored 13 points and added 6 passes in 33 minutes. This year Diebler averages 9.3ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.7apg in six games.

Amedeo Della Valle (6’4”-SG-93, graduated ’14, plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked VL Pesaro (6-13) crushing them 111-74 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. Della Valle recorded 17 points and added 9 assists. AX Armani Exchange Milano (16-3) is placed first in the Serie A. This season Della Valle averages 9.1ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.5apg.

Evan Ravenel (6’9”-C/F-89, graduated ’13, currently in Japan) could not help Fukushima (17-20) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Fukushima (17-20) were defeated 75-71 on the road by the lower-ranked Yamagata (#5) in the East group. Ravenel recorded a double-double by scoring 38 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 38 minutes. This season Ravenel averages 21.3ppg, 9.1rpg and 3.0apg.

Amir Williams (6’11”-C-92, graduated ’15, plays in Uruguay) was not able to help one of league’s weakest teams Hebraica (1-8) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his very good performance Hebraica was defeated 92-83 in a derby game by the second-ranked Olimpia. Williams scored 15 points, had 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Williams has relatively good stats this season 10.3ppg and 5.7rpg.

Zisis Sarikopoulos (7’0”-C-90, graduated ’10, currently in Belarus) was not able to secure a victory for Tsmoki-Minsk (2-13) in their last game. Despite Sarikopoulos’ 16 points and 9 rebounds, the bottom-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk was crushed 99-57 at home by the much higher-ranked (#3) Unics Kazan. This year Sarikopoulos averages 10.0ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.1apg in 15 games.

Jae’Sean Tate (6’4”-F-95, graduated ’18, plays pro in Belgium) was not able to help Telenet Giants Antwerp in their game against AEK in the Basketball Champions League. Despite his very good performance on Wednesday night He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Tate also added 6 rebounds. Tate has relatively good stats this season 13.4ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.9apg.

David Lighty (6’6”-G/F-88)  was the major contributor in an ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket‘s victory against the 13th-ranked Boulazac Basket 78-73 in the French Jeep ELITE on Friday night. Lighty scored 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Lighty has relatively good stats this season 10.1ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg.

Daequan Cook (6’5”-G/F-87) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Alba (3-3) 96-80 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday. Cook was MVP of the game. He scored 25 points in 34 minutes. Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona (4-2) is placed third in group J. There are only two games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Cook has very impressive stats this year 19.2ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.4apg in 13 games.

Kamerom Williams (6’2”-G-94) couldn’t help Sayago in their game against Nacional in the Uruguayan LUB. Despite his very good performance last Thursday He was the top scorer with 25 points. This season Williams has very high stats. He averages 17.7ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.4apg.

Lenzelle Smith Jr. (6’4”-G-91) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Bnei Hasharon 100-81 in the Israeli Winner League in Monday night’s game. He scored 14 points and added 6 assists. Smith Jr. averages 13.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 5.6apg and 1.6spg.

Ronald Lewis (6’4”-SG-84, graduated ’07, plays in France) helped FOS Provence Basket win their game against the sixth-ranked Limoges CSP Elite 87-72 in the French Jeep ELITE in Saturday night’s game. He was MVP of the game. Lewis recorded 26 points. Lewis has very impressive stats this year 17.5ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.3apg and 1.3spg in 19 games.
