Recap |  Box Score |  Notes

Jim Foster, Ohio State head coach
On the Buckeyes’ defensive effort
“I thought we played hard and smart on the defensive end. We had better spacing, execution and we took our time. It was a sound and good game by the team.”

On Ohio State’s performance in the first half
“Offensively we executed well. When Indiana took Jess (Davenport) out of the game we were able to get some quality shots. Jess’s couple of shots at the end of the half was good momentum for the second half.”

Caity Matter, senior guard
On Ohio State staying focused
“With the type of team we are, it is not hard to stay focused at all. We have Michigan Thursday and we will stay focused and take care of business.”

On Ohio State’s outside shooting
“The open shots loosen things up inside for us. Jess (Davenport) did a good job of hitting the inside shots.”

Kim Wilburn, sophomore guard
On the crowd
“It was great to see all the people come and support us. Ohio State has loyal fans who want to come out and see good games and a good team that works hard.”

Kathi Bennett, Indiana head coach
Opening statement
“Give Ohio State credit, they are a great team. They built their lead through the transition game. To beat Ohio State you have to play all out for 40 minutes.”

On Ohio State’s transition game
“The transition game with Caity Matter is really what hurt us in the early going. We could not stop their guards.”

On the Ohio State defense
“They are one of the toughest defenses we have faced all season. They contest every shot and allow no easy looks at the basket.”
