Freshman Jamar Butler and junior Je’Kel Foster made their firstcareer starts for the Buckeyes. Butler tied his career-with 10points. The change in the lineup was just the second different setof starters for Ohio State on the year. Ohio State ended the gameon a 22-1 run after Northwestern took a 51-43 lead with 7:20 toplay in the game. Ohio State connected on 86 percent of its foulshots for the game, the best shooting percentage of the year forthe Buckeyes. Ohio State has won 11-consecutive games in the serieswith Northwestern to improve to 105-44 all-time. The Buckeyes havewon their last five times in Evanston. Wildcat head coach BillCarmody has at least one victory over every Big Ten except OhioState (0-8). The Buckeyes turned the ball over just twice in thesecond half to finish the game with 10 miscues. Matt Marinchickplayed 19 minutes, one off his career high, in relief of TerenceDials, who played the majority of the game in foul trouble. The wingave Ohio State its 14th win of the season with at least ninecontests remaining. Ohio State was 14-16 a year ago.
