Att. 3,715 With the victory Saturday, Ohio State has won 12consecutive games in the Buckeye Classic and the last six eventtitles. The 2006 Buckeye Classic title is the ninth overall forOhio State. OSU won the Buckeye Classic in 1992, ’94, 2003, ’04,’05 and ’06. Ohio State has played in the championship game of theBuckeye Classic in 14 of 15 events all-time. Ohio State failed tomake the final in the 1983 tournament, the first year of theBuckeye Classic. Georgia defeated Clemson that season, 78-54, inthe final and Ohio State topped Miami (Ohio), 87-68, in theconsolation game. Three Ohio State players landed on the BuckeyeClassic all-tournament team. Davenport tied the individual Buckeye Classic record with six blocked shots Sunday. She also set the individual two-game standard for the Buckeye Classic with 10 blocked shots. She had four blocks in the first-game win over Cornell Saturday. In the last two seasons, Ohio State is 24-2 when Davenport swats at least three shots in a game.

Davenport made 18-of-21 field goals (.857) in the two games to break her own record of top field goal percentage in two games in the Buckeye Classic. She made 17-of-22 (.772) in the 2005 Buckeye Classic. Davenport reached her 35th career double-double by halftime Sunday with 12 points and 10 rebounds at the break. For the game, she scored 22 points and now has scored in double figures in 56 of her last 57 contests.

Davenport tied a season-high with four assists Sunday. She had four helpers vs. USC Nov. 19.

Hoskins was named to her third career Buckeye Classicall-tourney team. She was the Buckeye Classic MVP in 2003. Hoskinsscored 17 points Sunday. She has scored in double digits in allfive games this season.

Hoskins set a season-high with eight assists Sunday. She had seven assists Nov. 12 at Army. In the two-game tournament, Hoskins made 16-of-22 FG and combined for 14 assists. She has handed out at least five assists in four of five games this season.

As a team, Ohio State totaled 43 assists in the two-gametourney. Andrea Walker had career-bests with nine points and sevenrebounds. Star Allen had a career-best three assists. The Buckeyesare 15-1 in their last 16 non-conference regular season games.
