With thevictory over Minnesota, Ohio State’s three seniors StephanieBlanton, Jessica Davenport and Brandie Hoskins upped their recordwith the Buckeyes to 103-19. The best four-year run by a Buckeyeteam was from 1982-83 to 1985-86 when Ohio State went 106-22. TheBuckeyes also posted a 102-20 mark from 1984-85 to 1987-88. BrandieHoskins was not in the starting line up for the first time sinceDec. 1, 2004 at Ohio, a string of 93 games. With Hoskins absentfrom the line up, Ohio State was forced to change its starting fivefor the first time this season. Sophomore guard Ashlee Trebilcockmade her first career start for the Buckeyes. She tied acareer-high with four rebounds in a career-best 30 minutes. OhioState’s 23-1 start to the 2006-07 season is the program’s best. TheBuckeyes claimed victory in 17 of their first 18 in 1973-74 beforefinishing 18-2. Ohio State’s 12-0 start to the Big Ten season isthe best since the 1986-87 Big Ten championship squad won its first13 league games before losing at Iowa in its 14th conference game.With the win Sunday, Ohio State is 35-15 all-time vs. Illinois and12-11 against the Illini in Champaign. The Buckeyes have won thelast five meetings with Illinois. The win Sunday moved the Buckeyesto 11-0 in games decided by 10 points or less this season. OhioState has won 51 of its last 52 games when scoring at least 60points. Illinois made 23-of-60 FG (.382) Thursday. This season,Ohio State is 23-0 when holding opponents to less than 50 percentFG. Davenport’s eight rebounds Sunday put her at 1,018 for her career. She trails Kim Jordan (1,024) for second all-time at Ohio State. In Big Ten career ranks, Davenport passed Cindy Dallas (1,014) of Illinois for seventh all-time in the Big Ten.

With a 10-for-15 FG performance Sunday, Davenport stands at 815 career FG to rank second at OSU. She passed Tracey Hall’s 807 FG from 1985-88. Katie Smith ranks first at Ohio State with 826 from 1993-96.

Davenport played 40 minutes Sunday, one minute off her season-high 41 in the double-overtime win over Boston College Nov. 21.

Marscilla Packer scored 17 points Sunday on 6-12 FG shooting.In her last two games, Packer is averaging 17.5 points a game andhas made 13 of 20 FG (.650) and has made seven of her last 113-point FG (.636), including a 3-6 clip Sunday.

Since Brandie Hoskins went down with an injury with less than 30 seconds left in the first half at Minnesota Feb. 8, Packer has scored 26 points on 10-of-16 FG and 4-7 3-point attempts.

In the last two seasons, Ohio State is 19-1 when Packer makes at least three 3-point FG in a game.

Star Allen finished the game Sunday with 10 points and 10rebounds to record her third career double-double and her third inthe last five games.
