Jim Foster, Ohio State head coach
On tonight’s game
“I thought we played forty minutes tonight and that is what we have to do. We didn’t play ‘let’s exchange the baskets,’ like we did Sunday (vs. Florida A&M).”

On watching film
“We aren’t a team that watches a ton of film, but when we do we want it to be productive.”

On bringing Candace Dark off the bench
“I’m always a proponent of having a good player come off the bench. I grew up watching the Celtics do that and if Red Auerbach thinks it is a good idea, then I’m willing to agree.”

On the team’s depth
“I like the fact that we have depth. I like the fact that Candace Dark can come off the bench. I like that Emily Haynam is a veteran player who understands the value of a pump fake.”

On the team’s defense
“I thought we did a great job on the perimeter. We were a little soft on the inside. We’re a work in progress with a freshman and a sophomore who haven’t played inside. Emily (Haynam) helps us there and we look forward to LaToya (Turner) getting back on the floor.”

Ashley Allen, junior guard
On comparing Sunday’s Florida A&M game to tonight’s game vs. UNCW
“I felt relaxed. I had a little bit of the jitters on Sunday since it was my first game back. It feels good to get the win tonight.”

On preparing for tonight’s game
“It was an intense practice yesterday. Watching film is always a good thing. We get to see our mistakes and analyze the plays.” Caity Matter, junior guard
On watching film yesterday
“We ran the floor well tonight. We saw on the film that we had been jogging in transitions. The long passes got us the shots we needed on the break.”

On scoring 20 points vs. UNCW
“We got in the gaps and my teammates found me and I was able to get the shots.”
