“We always like to address one game at a time. We have been affected both physically and mentally after hosting a tournament last weekend and then going down to Charlottesville and winning a big overtime game against Virginia. We came out tonight and did what we wanted to do. It’s not one giant step, but a lot of little steps.
“We have shot between 50 and 60 percent in our last four games. The difference in what we are doing is making shots and that is what we have to continue to do.
“Courtney (Coleman) had three or four people on her in the second half. That’s when we hit some jump shots and everybody else started scoring. The freshmen have made good growth. Everyone knows they are going to get to play and we need everyone to play.
“Courtney (Coleman) wanted the ball and has intensity every game. She has been feeling it and they couldn’t stop her.”
“I think we took advantage of their height and made some moves inside and started posting up. I wanted the ball a lot and I hope I can continue to finish. I want to stay confident heading into the Big Ten opener against Indiana.”
“We have learned a lot from our losses. We knew that we had to come out and step up and play team defense. Tonight we made adjustments after the first half defensively and stopped their cuts to the basket.”
