Devin Smith, junior wide receiver
On Braxton Miller’s touchdown pass before the half
“He (Miller) doesn’t really get discouraged during the game. He’s a strong kid, but I think the touchdown before the half was cool. For us though, it was important to make sure we came out in the second half strong.”

On Christian Bryant’s leg injury
“Everyone’s hurt about it, especially me because he’s my cousin. I’m very tight with him. He’s worked his tail off and just wanted to have a great season.”

Joshua Perry, sophomore linebacker
On the loss of Christian Bryant
“That’s a big loss. He’s a leader for us, a guy you can trust and count on. We’re going to have to work to fill his void. I feel we have enough depth to be able to do that.”

On the win vs. Wisconsin
“It’s a great win. It gives us a lot of momentum going in to next week. We have another ranked opponent, it’s on the road and we have a week to prepare. Having a win like this is a great way to enter a week of preparation.”

Adolphus Washington, sophomore defensive lineman
On Wisconsin passing more than expected
“I think a lot of that had to do with us. We prepared this week to stop the run and we did. They had to adjust and made the decision to throw the ball more.”

Gary Andersen, head coach
On Wisconsin’s performance
“We have to be able to make it difficult. That’s what a great team would do and to be a great team you have to make those special plays at special moments. I am proud of the way the kids fought, they never gave up, they found a way to scratch and get back into the football game”

On Wisconsin’s playmaking
“If you’re going to come into a place like this and play a very talented football team, you have to make those plays. It’s hard enough to stop them and it’s hard enough to score when you execute the right way, let alone when you make mistakes.”

On the Big Ten championship race
“The bottom line is there’s no magic fairy dust and everyone is in it this time. These guys are in it and where Ohio State ends up this time matters. Something has got to happen. We don’t completely control our destiny, but I like our chances.”

Kyle French, junior kicker
On Wisconsin’s overall performance
“I did really well this game. I was on a three-field goal streak before tonight. I was happy I was able to bounce back with a field goal towards the end of the game, but I wish I could have made the 30-yard field goal at the beginning. “

On state of team after tonight
“We are disappointed we lost. This loss, plus the Arizona State loss was really hard. We are heading into a bye week, so we can rest up and prepare for Northwestern.”

Dezmen Southward, senior safety
On pulse of the locker room at half time “The end of the first half honestly wasn’t deflating at all. We do not allow ourselves to get down as a team. We are going to continue to fight regardless of the score.”
