ORLANDO, Fla. – Jessica Porvasnik led from start to finish at the 2016 Orlando International Amateur, seizing the women’s title by a three-stroke margin. The Buckeye senior opened with a 4-under 68 and maintained her perch atop the leaderboard throughout.
Porvasnik followed up the blistering 68 by carding scores of 73 and 75, resulting in a three-shot cushion between a pair of tournament runner-ups at 3-over.
The Orlando International Amateur championship is an annual golf tournament gathering high-level amateur golfers from the United States of America and abroad. The tournament was played at Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge in Orlando. It hosted a men’s and women’s division, welcoming over 200 golfers in total. Both divisions competed in a 54-hole stroke play championship, playing 18 holes per day.
