COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three members of the Ohio State women’s golf team have been named to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team — sophomores Lauren Peter and Aneka Seumanutafa as well as freshman Kailie Vongsaga.
Peter has played in every event in her first two seasons as a Buckeye. She was tied for second on the team with a 73.9 scoring average last year and had 18.5 of her 21 rounds count toward the team score.
Seumanutafa has led the team in scoring in each of the last two seasons at 72.0 and 72.3. She earned first team All-Big Ten honors in 2019 and was also a second team All-American.
Vongsaga is a transfer from Arizona. She played in four events for the Wildcats last year and this year, she led the Buckeyes in qualifying before the first events last weekend.
The Buckeyes opened the season last weekend with a pair of matches against Northwestern and FAU. They will be right back down in Boca Raton, Fla., for the FAU Paradise Invitational on Feb. 8-9.
