COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s soccer player Lara Dickenmann (So., Kries, Switzerland/Sursee) was named to the preseason All-America watch list. Dickenmann,’s 2004 Freshman of the Year, is one of 12 preseason All-America candidates.

“Lara has been acknowledged with a wonderful class,” Lori Walker, head coach, said. “Her accolades from last year speak for themselves and we’re looking forward to Lara competing again this season.”

In 2004, Dickenmann rewrote the program’s record book, becoming the all-time single-season leader in goals (13), assists (12) and points (38). Dickenmann, who earned First Team All-America and All-Freshman team laurels last season, helped the Buckeyes post its best record in team history at 19-4-3.

Playing their first four regular season games on the road, the Buckeyes travel to Kent, Ohio, where they will face Kent State at 4 p.m. Aug. 26 at Kent State Soccer Field. Ohio State then will face Xavier at 1 p.m. Aug. 28 at Xavier University Soccer Complex in Cincinnati, Ohio.
