COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Friday night baseball game between Ohio State and Minnesota has been suspended until 1:05 p.m. Saturday. The game will pick up with Minnesota at the plate and one out in the bottom of the second inning. Approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the game – Game 2 in this three-game set – the third and final game of the three game series will begin. Senior day ceremonies and a salute to coach Bob Todd will precede the start of Game 3.

The game Friday was suspended at 7:29 p.m. because of lightning in the area. The Buckeyes were leading, 1-0, in the bottom of the second inning. Ryan Dew hit a bases loaded single that scored Cory Kovanda with the first run of the game. Alex Wimmers was on the mound for the Buckeyes pitching for the first time in four weeks. He had struck out three batters, walked one and allowed a single in his first 1.1 innings of work. No word as to who will be the pitchers for either side once the resumed game starts.
