COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s tennis team has landed in the Oracle/ITA Division I preseason team rankings, coming in at No. 25.
Stanford earned the top spot with eight first-place votes, followed by North Carolina and Georgia tied for second. North Carolina received three first-place votes and Georgia received one.
The Division I preseason top 25 ranked teams in order are Stanford, North Carolina, Georgia, UCLA, Duke, Pepperdine, Texas, North Carolina State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Central Florida, Washington, Michigan, Florida State, California, Texas A&M, Kansas, Virginia, Florida, Tennessee, Miami, Wake Forest and Ohio State.
The Buckeyes finished their 2018-19 season ranked 25th as well, posting a 19-7 record overall and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth consecutive year. The team is set to kick off its spring campaign Jan. 17-18 at the Michigan Invite in Ann Arbor, Mich.
