Indianapolis – Caity Matter, a senior guard on the Ohio State women’s basketball team, was selected as a member of the 2005 WBCA All-Star Challenge roster and helped her team, the “Indy 500’s,” to an 82-72 victory Saturday at Nicoson Hall on the University of Indianapolis campus. Matter, who started at guard, contributed six points on 3-of-6 shooting and pulled down five rebounds to help the “Indy 500’s” top the “Brickyard 400’s”. Kendra Wecker of Kansas State led all scorers with 18 points and was named Most Valuable Player.

The winner of the 2005 ESPN/Midas 3-point Shootout Thursday at the site of the men’s Final Four in St. Louis, Matter collected her second three-point contest title in three days by winning the same event at the WBCA All-Star Challenge Saturday.
