COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio State men’s tennis co-captain Chris Porter (Jr., Canton, Ohio/Jackson) was named to the All-Big Ten Team on Thursday. Big Ten coaches selected the players. The last Ohio State player to be named All-Big Ten was Doug Bloom (1996).

During the 1999-00 season Porter tied the No. 3 spot with Gabor Koves (1991) in all-time singles wins in a season (34). Porter leads the Big Ten in singles wins and his current record is 34-13, 14-6 in the Big Ten.

Porter has played a large role in this season’s success in doubles. He is ranked No. 34 in doubles with teammate Andrew Carlson (Jr., Gambrills, Md./Arundel).
