COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeyes have moved up two spots to No. 22 in the Week 1 edition of the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll.
The Buckeyes are 2-2 on the season, with both wins coming over teams that were ranked higher in the preseason poll. The team earned a 4-2 victory over then-ranked No. 19 Boston University this past weekend in Boston. After falling behind 2-1 in the second half, Ohio State scored three goals in three minutes to regain the lead that they would hold on to for the remainder of the contest.
During the first week of the season, the Buckeyes earned a 3-2 overtime decision over then-ranked No. 8 Louisville in their first road trip of the season. Scoring three consecutive goals, the team recorded its first win of the season and first over a ranked opponent.
Ohio State returns to Columbus after three straight road games, playing Ball State and Lehigh on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The games will be played on Buckeye Varsity Field with Friday’s game starting at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday’s starting at 1:00 p.m.
