Ohio State Tops Oregon for Third in East & West Match Play

VERONA, Wis. – The Ohio State women’s golf team topped Oregon, 3-2, for third place at the East & West Match Play Challenge Tuesday at University Ridge Golf Course in Verona, Wis.

Jaclyn Lee earned stroke-play co-medalist honors with Oregon’s Kathleen Scavo, tallying a 7-under 70-67 after 36 holes.

Niki Schroeder came back after trailing Kelsey Ulep through 10 holes to win on the 20th hole to seal the victory for the Buckeyes. Alex Wright never trailed as she earned her second win in the tournament, topping Petra Salko, 2&1. Lee came back on Alexis Phadungmartvorakul after trailing through 11 holes to finish one-up after 18 holes.

Individually, the Buckeyes’ Sofia Seldemirova defeated Wisconsin’s Bobbi Stricker, 2&1.
