COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University and the NCAA will host the 1999 Big Ten Field Hockey Youth Education Through Sports (YES) clinic Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999.

The clinic will be conducted on the Indoor Turf Field at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center at no cost to the participants. Girls ages 10-18 are eligible to participate. The clinic will run from 8:30 a.m. – noon with the Big Ten Field Hockey Championship Game immediately following. Registration forms are available by calling either Mindy Mangels or Lee Twarling at the Ohio State Athletic Ticket Office at (614) 292-2624.

The clinic, sponsored by the NCAA, will provide youth programming which focuses on individual skill development, special skill demonstrations, student-athlete and participant mentoring programs and life skills development.

Registration is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants also will receive a clinic T-shirt and printed materials regarding field hockey skill development and enrichment topics.
