COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team continues its fall run hosting the Jack Nicklaus Invitational, Oct. 8-9. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played on the par 72, 7,352-yard Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.

THE BUCKEYE LINEUP
The Ohio State lineup features a youthful group with one senior, two sophomores and two freshmen. Matt Turner, Grant Weaver and Boo Timko lead the squad of newbies in Tee-K Kelly and Max Rosenthal. Competing as individuals is sophomore Logan Jones and freshman Sean Busch.
Weaver and Timko were a part of the Buckeye lineup that took second in last year’s edition of the Jack Nicklaus held at Muirfield.
ABOUT THE JACK NICKLAUS INVITATIONAL
This year marks the third-annual Jack Nicklaus Invitational and the second-straight season held at Muifield. Last season, eventual NCAA champion Texas captured the tournament title with an 862, while Illinois’ Thomas Pieters won the individual crown with a 209.
Oklahoma State took the team title in the tournament’s inaugural year in 2010 at Scioto Country Club. Former Illini Luke Guthrie took the individual win with a 205.
Monday and Tuesday look to be two beautiful days for golf as both days call for full days of sun. Monday’s high will reach 60 with winds out of the SSW at 8 mph and no chance of rain. Tuesday will warm up slightly with a high of 68 and winds from the south at 13 mpg with no rain in sight.

The Ohio State men’s golf team came from behind to win its first tournament of the season at the Windon Memorial, Sept. 23-24. The Buckeyes finished with a 29-over 881 on the difficult par 71, 7,081-yard Skokie Country Golf Course in Glencoe, Ill.
The Buckeyes conclude the fall schedule at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, Oct. 28-29, in Dallas.
