2007-08 Winter Big Ten Academic All-Conference Selections

COLUMBUS, Ohio The Big Ten Conference announced the 2008 Winter Academic All-Big Ten team and a Big Ten-best 57 Buckeye student-athletes were honored for their academic efforts. Ohio State was one of just five Big Ten schools to have a member from each winter sport honored.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, a student-athlete must be a letterwinner in at least their second academic year and carry a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better. In all, 469 conference student-athletes were honored.

A total of 34 Buckeye swimming and diving (20 men’s, 14 women’s) and 10 men’s gymnastics student-athletes were named to the team. Gymnast Alyssa Meyer was one of five Big Ten student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA.
