Ohio State Sits in a Tie for 14th at Northrop Grumman

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The Ohio State women’s golf team sits in a tie for 14th with play suspended late in the opening round of the 25th Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge Sunday at Palos Verdes Golf Club. The Buckeyes battled rain and strong winds, opening with a 22-over-par 306 to tie with No. 9 Florida.

Three groups will finish their first round Monday morning before second-round play begins with tee times starting at 9:30 a.m. PT.

Senior Adeena Shears, playing as an individual, and sophomore Lauren Peter each tied for 19th after carding a 2-over-par 73 while sophomore Aneka Seumanutafa is tied for 29th after a 3-over-par 74. Senior Alex Wright, also playing as an individual, and junior Yukie Sasaki sit in a tie for 63rd after posting a 7-over 78 while sophomore Skylar Thompson (T-74th) and junior Sofia Seldemirova (83rd) round out the Buckeye lineup.

Peter sits tied for second in par-3 scoring at 1-under while Shears, Peter and Sasaki are tied for 10th with 12 pars.
