LLV Women’s Collegiate Challenge/Sin City Sprints Information

 

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State rowing team will take a trip out west this weekend to race No. 5 Michigan and No. 1 Washington in the LLV Women’s Collegiate Challenge/Sin City Sprints. Racing will start at 8 a.m. PT Saturday on Lake Las Vegas.

 

OHIO STATE AS OF LATE

Last weekend, the Buckeyes raced in their first home regatta of the season against Michigan and Michigan State. Ohio State swept the Spartans and won two races against the Wolverines. Both the First Varsity Four and the First Varsity Eight went undefeated on the day, with the 1V4 winning their first races of the 2019 season.

 

KNOW THY OPPONENT

Washington, the 2018 NCAA Championship runner-up, is currently No. 1 on the CRCA/US Rowing Coaches Poll. Michigan is No. 5 in this week’s rankings. The last time that the Buckeyes raced the Huskies was in 2017 at the Pac-12 Challenge. Ohio State is 2-4 in races against the Wolverines this season.

UP NEXT

Following this weekend’s trip, Ohio State will have a weekend off before hosting Texas on May 4. The regatta will be the Buckeyes’ last of the regular season.
