COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State Rifle fired its second highest home score of the season against West Virginia University, posting a 4,652 team tally.
Sophomore Ariel Hall led the way with an aggregate score of 1,176 which tied her personal and team season best aggregate score.
In smallbore the team fired a score of 2,297 led by Hall who posted a 584. She was followed by senior Rhiann Travis (577), sophomore Annabelle Stanec (569), freshman Natalie Katsuyama (567), and sophomore Annie Tomb (564). Freshman Katie Ezell paced all those competing as ‘individuals’ with a score of 565. She was followed closely by fellow freshman Joel Potts (564), and juniors Jared Minor (554), Megan Wilcoxson (551), and Mica Harr (550).
In air rifle the Buckeyes fired a team score of 2,355 led by Travis and Hall who tallied scores of 594 and 592, respectively. Ezell (586), Tomb (583), and Stanec (576) rounded out team scoring. Harr led the way for the individuals with a score of 586. She was followed by Katsuyama (584), Minor (578), Potts (572), and Wilcoxson (561).
“Our team showed great resolve during the week” said head coach Ryan Tanoue “we worked through some technical issues with the range and put forth some really good performances across the board on Saturday. This upcoming weekend off comes at a great time for us to be able to recover and get re-focused prior to the PRC Championships and the NCAA Qualifier over the next three weeks.”
The Rifle Team returns to action at the Patriot Rifle Conference Championship match which will be held at TCU on February 15th and 16th.
