WEST POINT, N.Y. – Records were broken and the Buckeyes arose victorious in a match at the U.S. Military Academy (Nov. 17-18). Ohio State outscored Army West Point by scores of 6,420-6,371 (Open) and 2,752-2,709 (Women’s). Irina Andrianova, Kara Moody and Emily Rust teamed up to break a 12-year record set back in 2005 by posting the best two-gun women’s aggregate score in school history (2,752). The previous best mark was 2,743.
The Buckeye female trio fired a 1,666 in Sport Pistol, improving the season best by 15 points and coming up a lone tally shy of that all-time high in OSU history as well.

In the Open competition, Zachary Dahmen, Anthony McCollum and Mike Soklaski contributed in all three disciplines. McCollum paced the Scarlet & Gray in both Air (568) and Standard (553) while Damen’s 527 Free score was tops on the team. McCollum’s three-gun aggregate of 1,638 set a new personal best by two points. Dahmen, meanwhile, set personal highs in Free, Air (565) and three-gun aggregate (1,620).
Andrianova chipped in 539 Standard and 553 Air performances.
