COLUMBUS, Ohio–Jim Brown, in his 33rd year as head coach of the men’s golf team at Ohio State, has put together a schedule that will take his 2005-06 squad to all regions of the United States.

The team will play events in California, Texas, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina while also participating in relatively local events in Ohio, Illinois and Michigan.

A trip to Oregon for the 2006 NCAA Championships is the goal for the conclusion of the season.

“We are very happy with our 2005-06 golf schedule,” Brown said. “We have added three new tournaments that are very competitive and will help our team in the long run. We always try to play the toughest schedule we can, playing the top teams in the country. I believe we have accomplished this with our schedule.”

In addition to all the travel, Ohio State will again play host to the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate April 15-16 at the OSU Scarlet Course.

Jack Nicklaus is currently working on renovations to the historic track that will make the already renowned course one of the most challenging in collegiate golf.

The fall season begins at the Inverness Invitational in Toledo, Ohio followed by the Big Ten/Pac 10 Challenge in Chicago.

The Buckeyes will then go from North Carolina (Duke Intercollegiate) to Palm Springs, Calif., (The Prestige at PGA West) and then back to North Carolina (Landfall Tradition) to close out the early portion of the schedule.

The 2006 spring season tees off at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. (Feb. 18-19) and concludes with the Big Ten Championships in Chicago (April 28-30).
