Ohio State Records Four Personal-Bests on First Day of Penn Relays



COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team began competition at the 126th Penn Relays on Thursday.

In the women’s 10,000m, Andrea Kuhn (34:09.15) and Daniella Santos (34:09.77) both ran personal-bests to post the third and fourth-fastest times in program history and finish fifth and sixth, respectively. Oscar Smith finished 10th overall (53.12) in the men’s 400m hurdles with the fastest OSU men’s time of the season and a personal-best. Akemi Von Scherr ran a personal-best time of 16:58.29 in the women’s 5000m.


  • Nick Miller finished third in the men’s 1500m (3:46.41) in a field of 27 athletes.
  • Chanler Robinson recorded Ohio State’s first top-10 finish of the meet, crossing the line eighth in the women’s 400m hurdles (59.55).


The Buckeyes continue competing at the Penn Relays on Friday with field events beginning at noon and track events beginning at 12:40 p.m.
