Andrew Sweat, senior linebacker
On team’s tradition on defense
“We take great pride in being called the Silver Bullets. We always try and swarm to the football and play as a unit defensively like those teams that created that recognizable name did. We always try and come together and relish on that tradition.”

On loss to Michigan State
“Our defense gave up 10 points and their defense only gave up seven points so we got outplayed against them. It wasn’t good enough, but we have to move on and get ready for a big night game this weekend against another great team.”

On Nebraska’s offense
“Taylor Martinez is explosive and has big play capability. I think the biggest key to success against them is to not let them get started offensively and watching film we saw that Wisconsin was able to do that last weekend with success.”

Mike Brewster, senior center
On game against Michigan State
“We have to give credit to their defense and coach (Mark) Dantonio – that’s why he is one of the best coaches out there. I didn’t think they were going to blitz as much as they did.”

On preparation for Nebraska
“We really need to take advantage of practice this week and I’m going to keep fighting my heart out for these guys. Nebraska’s defense has some great guys over there like Jared Crick and Baker Steinkuhler and it’s going to be a battle. Those guys are going to be ready to go. I think there is always extra adrenaline in these types of games especially in a night road game.

On getting Mike Adams back
“I think it is really going to help us getting Mike back this week. He is going to be ready to go and had a great season last year for this team. I’m excited to see what he is going to be able to do against Nebraska.”
