COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Network has released its 2011 softball schedule with Ohio State appearing at least six times live on the nationally televised network.  In addition, three Ohio State home games will be streamed over the internet on

BTN will make at least two stops at Buckeye Field to cover the Scarlet and Gray. Linda Kalafatis’ softball squad will make its 2011 BTN debut Sunday, April 10, hosting Illinois. The network will return to Columbus Sunday, May 8 as the Buckeyes take on Michigan State. On the road, Ohio State will make four television appearances, including at Northwestern Sunday, April 24, a doubleheader at rival Michigan, Wednesday, May 4 and at Wisconsin Friday, May 13 to close out the regular season.

Home games that will stream on include a doubleheader vs. Penn State Wednesday, April 27 and game one in the series against Spartans Saturday, May 7. These games are part of the Big Ten Network’s subscription package that cost as little as $7.95 per month for a one-school plan. Additional subscription options are available at
Some of Ohio State’s conference road games may be streamed on the, but these will announced by the host sites.

Ohio State fans also can watch the Ohio State games from home this season by logging on to for live video streaming on Buckeye Vision. Packages available for purchase include a one-month subscription for Buckeye Vision for $11.95 or a four-month plan for $39.95.

  • Sunday, March 27 vs. Iowa – 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 6 vs. Pittsburgh – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

  • Saturday, April 16 vs. Purdue – 2 p.m.
  • Sunday April 17 vs. Purdue – 2 p.m.
  • Friday, April 29 vs. Morehead State – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
