COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State University Director of Athletics Andy Geiger today named Heather Lyke as the Buckeyes’ new Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to work at The Ohio State University and look forward to developing new relationships and meeting new challenges,” Lyke said.
Lyke brings a varied background of experience to OSU as a former student-athlete, administrator and law clerk. For the past two years, Lyke played a dual role for the University of Cincinnati. She served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance for the past two years and the Senior Women’s Administrator for the past year.
Prior to her appointment at UC, Lyke spent a year as an intern in the NCAA enforcement and eligibility division.
In 1995, Lyke attended the University of Akron School of Law where she earned a Juris Doctorate and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1995.
Lyke earned her Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Michigan in 1992. While at UM, she earned academic all-Big Ten honors as a member of its softball team.
