COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s cross country team was named NCAA Division I All-Academic in an announcement made by the NCAA and United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Thursday. The Buckeyes have earned academic distinction (3.25 GPA or better) in each of the last six seasons.

“I have been very proud of the men’s cross country teams academic performance throughout my 10 years coaching,” Robert Gary, Ohio State head coach said. “They are truly in-season year-round with cross country, indoor and outdoor track seasons. It is quite a testament to their organization, time management and our team goals. They are great examples of what is expected of an Ohio State student-athlete.”

Under Gary’s direction, Ohio State has posted 51 OSU Scholar-Athletes from 2003-06. The Buckeye men’s and women’s teams have combined for 64 Academic All-Big Ten honorees the last five years.
