COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three members of the Ohio State men’s tennis team were in action Sunday at the Big Ten singles tournament with three Buckeyes advancing to the second round. The event, which concludes Monday, is being held on the campus of the University of Michigan at the Varsity Tennis Center.
Justin Kronauge (Fr., Dayton, Ohio/Centerville), the No. 8 seed in the tournament, advanced to the quarterfinals. He defeated M. Sroczynski of Michigan 6-2, 6-4 in the second round. The OSU freshman then beat W. Lock of Northwestern 6-4, 6-4 in the round of 16 before falling to Matko Maravich of Michigan 5-7, 1-6. Kronauge is 5-4 on the season.
Drew Eberly (Jr., Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) beat Nick Edlefson of Minnesota 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 in the second round. Eberly then fell to D. McLoughlin of Indiana 4-6, 5-7. Eberly is 5-2 on the year. Dominic Ozanne (Jr., Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) fell to B. Lynch of Penn State 4-6, 4-6. Ozanne is 1-1 on the season.
