COLUMBUS, Ohio The nationally-ranked Ohio State men’s swimming and diving team coasted to a 127-74 win over Miami Friday in Oxford, Ohio. The No. 15 Buckeyes improve their dual meet record to a perfect 3-0.

“I am very pleased with the effort the guys put forward tonight,” Bill Wadley, head men’s swimming coach, said. “They all did a very good job and it was a nice win for the team.”

Junior Matthias Sigrist led the Ohio State squad with two wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:40.79) and 200 butterfly (1:51.70). Also having a big night were freshmen Phil Seleskie and Elliott Keefer. Seleskie claimed his first collegiate win in the 200 individual medley in a time of 1:53.74. Keefer picked up a victory in the 200 breaststroke (2:04.70) for his first win as a Buckeye.

In the sprints, senior Matt Voelker came away with a win in the 50 freestyle in a time of 21.00. Freshman Itai Chammah won the 200 backstroke (1:50.16) and sophomore Stefan Sigrist got the win in the 500 freestyle (4:32.79).

The 400 medley relay team opened up the meet with a win for Ohio State. The squad, comprised of senior Daniel Novak, junior Felipe Travesso, Matthias Sigrist and sophomore Joel Elber, touched the wall first in a time of 3:23.93.

The Buckeyes return home for a non-conference meet against Cleveland State at 5 p.m. Nov. 20 before hosting the third annual Ohio State Invitational, Nov. 30-Dec. 2, at the McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion.
