KANNAPOLIS, N.C.—Ohio State finished the day one-under par through 36 holes and sits in fifth place at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate. Senior Caleb Ramirez followed up his success from the Linger Longer Invitational and leads the Buckeyes at three-under par and tied for fifth place with one round left to play. Ramirez carded his eighth and ninth rounds of par or better for the season, rolling in ten pars between his two rounds to put him within striking distance of the leader.

Will Grimmer got back to form at Irish Creek, turning in a three-under 68 in the first round and followed it up with a second round 73 to come in at one-under par and tie for 11th. Daniel Wetterich also had a good day on the course, carding six birdies in the first round to finish with a 69, and a one-over 72 in the second to take a share of 11th place at one-under. Will Voetsch, competing as an individual, shot 73 in the first round but came back with his best round of the season, a three-under 68, to share 11th place at one-under with his two teammates.

Freshman Grant Engle, the other Ohio State individual, is one-over (71-72) and tied for 29th through two rounds. Laken Hinton holds a share of 58th place with a score of four-over (72-74) and Kevin Stone is nine-over in 78th place.

The final round of the Irish Creek Intercollegiate tees off tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM.
