FLOURTOWN, Pa.—Ohio State shot a collective 296 to place 11th at 16-over par through one round of the Big Ten Championship. Wet conditions at the Philadelphia Cricket Club led to a tough day on the Wissahickon course that only allowed four rounds under par and averaged 74.43 across all 14 teams.
Caleb Ramirez and Will Voetsch led the Buckeyes, each shooting a one-over 71 to position themselves in a tie for eighth place. The two seniors have come on strong in the last month, helping to keep the Buckeyes in contention along the way.
Daniel Wetterich and Will Grimmer finished the day seven-over par, putting together rounds of 77 apiece to take a share of 52nd place. Laken Hinton rounded out the starting five, shooting an eight-over 78 to place 55th after one round.
Ohio State will look to bounce back tomorrow as they tee off starting at 9:40AM for the second round of the Big Ten Championship.
