Every Friday, features one of the many Ohio State social media outlets to follow. Ohio State women’s volleyball kicks off the always competitive Big Ten season this weekend, hosting Iowa Friday and No. 3 Nebraska Saturday: @ohiostatewvball

Under the direction of fifth-year head coach Geoff Carlston, the No. 23 Buckeyes boast a 9-3 record on the season after facing a tough preseason schedule. Highlighting the preseason were big wins over then-No. 10 Dayton and now ranked Western Kentucky.

The squad is led offensively by seniors Mari Hole and Emily Danks. Hole has a team-high 181 kills for a 3.93 average, while Danks is second with 149 kills and a 3.24 average. Junior libero Davionna DiSalvatore leads the team with a 3.67 digs average, while senior setter Amanda Peterson dishes out an average of 8.73 assists per set.

Ohio State faces Iowa Friday at 7 p.m. in St. John Arena. The match is being streamed live on and will re-air Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET. The Buckeyes close out the weekend with a match vs. No. 3 Nebraska Saturday at 7 p.m.
