COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University rifle team competed in a four-team match at West Virginia on Sunday placing third behind West Virginia (4624) and Air Force (4703) and ahead of Army (4653).
In smallbore the team fired a score of 2319 led by Viktor Kiss who posted a team-high 583. He was followed by Ariel Hall who fired a 580 while Derek Kiser, Nathan Wehrlen, and Tyler Hanson all fired scores of 578. Philip Becker led the way for the individual with a score of 572. He was followed by Annabelle Stanec (567), Joel Potts (565), and Annie Tomb (564).
In air rifle the team fired a score of 2353 and were again led by Viktor Kiss who fired a score of 593. He was closely followed by Derek Keiser who posted a score of 591 while Ariel Hall (586), Philip Becker (583), and Nathan Wehrlen (582) rounded out the team scoring. Annie Tomb and Joel Potts led the way for the individuals by firing scores of 582 while Tyler Hanson (577) and Annabelle Stanec (576) rounded out individual scoring.
Ohio State finishes the fall portion of their season in El Paso, Texas with a pair of matches against UTEP November 20-21.
