COLUMBUS, Ohio – After a 9-0 start to the season, including three wins over ranked opponents, the Ohio State men’s tennis team has earned the No. 1 ranking in the UTSA polls, and the No. 1 see at the ITA National Indoor Championships.
Coming off wins over No. 10 Stanford, No. 24 Georgia and No. 5 USC, Ohio State has been named the No.1 team in the nation in the UTSA rankings. Ohio State currently sits at No. 2 in the ITA standings heading into the weekend at ITA Indoor Championships in Chiacgo.
The Buckeyes enter the tournament as the top seed with Mississippi State, Wake Forrest and Florida seeded 2-4. Ohio State will face No. 16 seed Tulane at 3:30 on Friday to kick off their tournament. Ohio State was crowned champion at the the ITA National Indoor Championships in 2014 when they defeated USC 4-1.
