Buckeyes one of 58 teams nationally to carry a team grade point average over 3.0
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State field hockey team was recognized Thursday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as one of 58 teams in the nation to carry a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher in 2009. This is the fourth-consecutive season the Buckeyes have been on the list compiled annually by the NFHCA.
A total of 11 Buckeyes were named Academic All-Big Ten honorees this fall. To be eligible for an Academic All-Big Ten selection, a student-athlete must be a letterwinner in at least their second academic year and carry a GPA of 3.0 or better.
