COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State synchronized swimming team hosted Miami (Ohio) and William & Mary in the Fourth Annual Jessica Beck Memorial Meet at the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion Saturday. The Buckeyes finished first with 93 points, taking the top spot in every routine. The Tribe tallied 73 points and the RedHawks earned 29 points for second and third place, respectively. 

In the team routine, Ohio State won the Top 2 spots. The Scarlet team, consisting of Katherine Green, Jackie Mundy, Barbara Nesbitt, Paige Ramsey, Emilie Siemer, Deborah Shim, Hannah Shively and Caitlin Stewart, was first with a mark of 93.330. Raquel Aguado, Colleen Courtmanche, Liz Derr, Rita Gillan, Liana Litsky, Asia Luke, Lauren Robinson and Samantha Schmidt of the Gray squad earned a score of 91.330 to finish second.

In the solo competition, Nesbitt earned her second first-place finish of the season, recording a 93.500. Aguado and freshman classmate Kayley Colville each swam exhibition routines, which did not count in the final team tally. Aguado earned an 87.000 and Colville finished with an 85.500.

Meghan Kinney and Michelle Theriault finished first in the duet routine with a mark of 93.330. Robinson and Shively performed an exhibition routine, earning an 88.830.

In trio, Theriault, Nesbitt and Shim earned a score of 92.830 to finish first. Green, Kinney and Stewart were second with a 91.330.

Up next, the Buckeyes will travel to Virginia to compete against Richmond and William & Mary Feb. 13 and 14, respectively.
