COLUMBUS, Ohio – In their second conference win of the season, the Ohio State Buckeyes shut out the Indiana Hoosiers, 1-0. Ohio State improves to 6-5 on the season and 2-2 in the Big Ten while Indiana falls to 2-8 and 0-3 in the conference.

“I’m really proud of the team for holding a Big Ten team to a shutout and limiting them on shots and corners which I thought was pretty good on the defensive side. We just have to make sure we are taking into consideration what we are doing moving forward. We did a good enough job causing turnovers, but we have to be quicker on switching over to attack and making that adjustment going into Sunday’s game against Iowa.”

The lone goal of the game was scored by senior Casey Cole off a penalty corner in the 22nd minute of the game. Freshman Jessica Hourihane took the corner for the Buckeyes and senior Hannah Pany stopped the pass to set Cole up for the shot. Cole’s shot was defected in off a defender to give the Buckeyes the 1-0 lead.
