Ohio State Completes 2020 Signing Class

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State completed its 2020 signing class on Wednesday, a 25-player group that is rated by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 5 overall class and No. 1 in the Big Ten. Head coach Ryan Day signed players from 14 different states and had 10 different position groups represented.

After signing 24 players in December, the Buckeyes added Cameron Martinez, a four-star athlete from Muskegon, Mich., on Wednesday. Martinez is rated by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 7 overall athlete.

In the final 247Sports composite ratings, Day’s class features four five-star players: OL Paris Johnson, Jr., QB C.J. Stroud, WR Julian Fleming and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Both Stroud and Smith-Njigba recently earned the fifth stars. A total of 15 Buckeye signees are either four or five-star prospects.

Johnson Jr. and Smith-Njigba both added impressive awards to their resumes since December. At the Army All-American Bowl, Johnson Jr. was named the Anthony Munoz Lineman of the Year and Man of the Year. Smith-Njigba picked up the Texas 6A Player of the Year award in January
