COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State and West Virginia will play a neutral site game this upcoming season as the teams will meet in Cleveland on Saturday, Dec. 30. The game time and venue will be announced at a later date.

Ohio State and West Virginia will be meeting on the hardwood for the 18th time when they get together in December. The Buckeyes lead the all-time series 9-8 but West Virginia has had the upper hand as of late, winning eight of the last nine meetings. The last meeting between the teams was also in Cleveland on Dec. 29, 2019. WVU won that game 67-59.

Intersport, a Chicago-based sports marketing and events agency, will lead the event operations for the neutral site contest. Intersport manages numerous early season college basketball events, including its signature event, the CBS Sports Classic. Ohio State will compete in CBS Sports Classic again this season with a date, venue and matchups to be announced this summer.
