COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State and Notre Dame have mutually agreed to not play this Saturday’s men’s tennis match which was scheduled for noon in South Bend, Ind. A large number of players on the Ohio State team have been suffering from the flu this week.
“We’d like to thank Notre Dame for its understanding and willingness to work with us through this unfortunate situation,” said Ohio State director of tennis Ty Tucker. The health and well-being of the student-athletes is our top priority. “We look forward to continuing our long relationship and series with Notre Dame next year.”
The two teams have played each year for the last 45 years and the overall series dates all the way back to 1928. The series will resume Feb. 21, 2021 in South Bend.
