COLUMBUS, Ohio – The latest Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings were released Thursday and the Ohio State Department of Athletics ranks fourth based on NCAA championship results from traditional fall and winter sports seasons.
Ohio State’s 652.50 points were built on the strength of 11 teams advancing to NCAA championship or FBS football post-season competition and finishing high enough to score points. Ohio State’s top five points-scoring sports programs so far are the football program, women’s swimming and diving, men’s swimming and diving, wrestling and women’s indoor track and field.
Also accumulating Learfield IMG College points was men’s basketball, women’s gymnastics, men’s gymnastics, women’s hockey, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.
The Stanford Cardinal currently lead the Directors’ Cup team standings while the Big Ten Conference leads among all conferences with eight institutions in the Top 25.
The final Division I Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings spring update will be published on July 2, following the conclusion of the College World Series.
