%^$Ohio State Head Coach John Cooper
%^$”I am really proud of the effort that we made today. We challenged them all week long to go out there and make some things happen. I am really proud of this young football team.%^$

%^$”We dodged some bullets and turned the ball over, but we played with our hearts today. Brent Johnson made a great play for us. A lot of work needs to be done, but the effort was there.”%^$

%^$”Steve Bellisari was struggling today. He is young and we did tell Austin Moherman to warm-up on the sidelines. Steve is our best quarterback. He is a young player and he will make the mistakes, but he is getting there.%^$

%^$”I thought the defensive line played very well today. A lot of guys stepped it up. %^$

%^$”They laid it on the line today. We work on the kicking game everyday in practice and it really paid off today.%^$

%^$”This team needs confidence. The crowd really helped us win this game today. We can play better, but the effort was there.%^$

%^$”They (Purdue) do a great job passing the ball and protecting the quarterback. Purdue hurt us with third down plays, throwing it up the middle.%^$

%^$”I wish we could go out and dominate, but we are not the mature, polished team that we have been in the past. %^$

%^$”We are going to have another good week in practice and go over there (Penn State) and do the best we can.%^$

%^$Purdue Head Coach Joe Tiller
%^$”It was a good football game that went for 60 minutes.%^$

%^$”I think it was a low kick. He did not get it up. They probably got a push inside. They had gotten penetration earlier in the day on us and cranked it up a notch on the kick. Usually we try to kick in 1.2 seconds, but he took 1.42 seconds, which is a little too long of time.%^$

%^$”The weather was somewhat a factor. It forces you to play with your feet under you. Ohio State had its back against the wall, but they played very well.%^$

%^$”We had a few negatives. We fumbled the opening kick-off and we didn’t cash in when down low.”%^$
